Tips for preparing for engagement photos and couple photos
Although booking a couple's photo shoot during wedding planning may seem like just one of many tasks to complete, it is actually more useful than it appears at first glance.
The couple photo session is all about celebrating your love. By making the decision to spend the rest of your lives together, you are on your way to becoming one!
The experience and the beautiful photos that result are unique and well worth the effort.
What to expect during your couple photo session

This is your chance to create memories, tell your story, and express the love between you in a very personal way.
My couple photo sessions usually last between 1 and 1 1/2 hours.
Once we've met, we'll discuss the shoot schedule on location. If you have any ideas or requests of your own, please feel free to share them with us.
I am happy to give you tips and instructions on poses at the beginning. This will allow you to focus on each other and the excitement will quickly disappear.
The end result is pictures that show you at your best and are as unique as your relationship.
Afterwards, I will take sufficient time to discuss the next steps with you, such as selecting the pictures, how you will receive them, and what options are available for presenting the photos.
Choosing the location for your couple photos
The location can be a place that is very special to you. Perhaps it is a part of the city where you spent a lot of time together.
Perhaps it's the place where you had your first date or where you were proposed to. If you're not sure where you want to do your shoot, then it's my job to help you narrow down the possibilities.
I have a variety of locations for you to choose from, ranging from green parks to urban settings with modern architecture or historic buildings. Just ask me about them.
The right outfit for a couple's photo shoot

Your outfits should show you at your best. Your clothes should fit you well and you should be able to move around easily in them, as we will probably be walking around the location a bit.
When planning your wardrobe, you should also keep the location and temperature in mind.
Primary colors play a big role in my photography style. A touch of red, yellow, green, or blue can spice up any outfit and help you stand out from the background. But don't shy away from pastel colors or neutral tones either.
I would be happy to recommend that you choose a wardrobe for one of the following occasions:
Relaxed walk in the park—sneakers, jeans, casual outfit
Enjoying a coffee at a hotspot in the city center - business casual, slightly more formal attire, jacket, blazer
Evening at the casino or the opera—formal dress code, dark suit, evening gown
If in doubt, consider two outfits: a more elegant outfit and another option with a more casual look!

You're celebrating the start of your life together, so why not dress up and celebrate in style?!
Take this as an opportunity to buy a new outfit from your favorite boutique or to break out those shoes you've been wanting to wear for a while.
Feel free to bring a pair of comfortable shoes so you can walk comfortably.
Try adding a few accessories—a simple necklace, a couple of bracelets, a scarf, or different layers to make you look a little more stylish. Men can (and should) wear accessories too!
Makeup trial for the couple's photo shoot
Professional makeup ensures next-level couple photos.
Hair and makeup for women and men have long been part of film sets and photography. The right makeup and hairstyle emphasize your personality and help you make a successful appearance in front of the camera.
I often recommend scheduling your makeup trial with your makeup artist on the same day as your couple's photo shoot — once your makeup is done, you'll feel a little more ready for the camera.
When taking photos of the rings, or at the latest when exchanging rings, your hands will also be in focus. Treat yourselves to a manicure to ensure your hands look their best.
Be confident during the couple photo shoot
Self-confidence is the be-all and end-all when it comes to photography.
Choose an outfit that suits your physical characteristics and individuality, allows you to move freely, and makes you feel great!
Accessories that express your personality or special accessories that connect you, such as jewelry, can have a big effect on your overall appearance.
Professional makeup can add the finishing touch to your couple's photo shoot.
