Tips for preparing for engagement photos and couple photos
Although booking a couple's photo session during the wedding planning process may seem like just one of many tasks to accomplish, it's actually more useful than it seems at first glance.
The couple photo session is all about celebrating your love. By making the decision to spend the rest of your lives together, you are on your way to becoming one!
The experience and the beautiful photos that result are unique and well worth the effort.
What to expect from your couple photo session

This is your chance to create memories, tell your story and express the love between you in a very individual way.
My couple photo sessions usually last 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
On location, after the first meeting, we will discuss the course of the shoot. If you have your own ideas and wishes, you are welcome to bring them in.
I am happy to give you tips and instructions on poses at the beginning. This will allow you to concentrate on each other and the excitement will quickly disappear.
The end result is pictures that show you at your best and are as unique as your relationship.
Afterwards, I will take enough time to discuss the next steps with you, for example how to select the images or how to obtain the images and what options there are for presenting them appropriately.
Choosing the location for your couple photos
The location can be a place that is very special to you. Maybe it's a part of the city where you've spent a lot of time together.
Maybe it's the place where you had your first date or where you were proposed to. If you're not sure where you want to do your shoot, then it's my job to help you narrow down the options.
I have various locations for you to choose from, from green parks to urban settings with modern architecture or historic buildings. Just ask me about it.
The right outfit for a couple photo shoot

Your outfits should show you at your best. Your clothes should fit you well and you should be able to move around in them, as we will probably be walking around the location a bit.
When planning your wardrobe, you should also keep the location and temperature in mind.
Primary colors play a big role in my photography style. A touch of red, yellow, green or blue can spice up any outfit and help you stand out from the background. But you shouldn't shy away from pastel colors or neutral tones either.
I am happy to recommend that you choose a wardrobe for one of the following occasions:
Relaxed walk in the park - sneakers, jeans, casual outfit
Enjoying a coffee in a hotspot in the city center - business casual, dressed a little smart, jacket, blazer
Evening at the casino or opera - formal dress code, dark suit, evening dress
If in doubt, you can consider two outfits: A dressier outfit and another option with a more casual look!
Get dressed up for your couple photo session

You're celebrating the start of your life together, so why not dress up and celebrate!
Take this as an opportunity to buy a new outfit from your favorite boutique or pick out those shoes you've been meaning to wear for a while.
Take a pair of comfortable shoes with you so that you can walk well.
Try a few accessories - a simple necklace, a few bracelets, a scarf or different layers to make you look a little more stylish. Men can (and should) wear accessories too!
Make-up trial for the couple photo session

Hair and make-up have long been an integral part of film sets and photography for both men and women. The right make-up and hairstyle emphasize your type and support you for a successful appearance in front of the camera.
I often recommend having the make-up trial with your make-up artist on the same day as the couple photo shoot - by the time you've finished your make-up, you'll feel a little more ready for the camera.
Your hands are also the focus during ring photos or at the latest when exchanging rings. For well-groomed hands, let us pamper you with a manicure.
Be confident during the couple photo session
Self-confidence is the be-all and end-all of photography.
Choose an outfit that suits your physical features and your individuality, in which you can move well and in which you simply feel great!
Accessories as an expression of your personality or special accessories that connect you, such as pieces of jewelry, can have a great effect on your overall appearance.
Professional make-up can add the finishing touch to your couple photo shoot.
All couples enjoy their engagement sessions because they can just be themselves. Don't worry too much about your poses - as a photographer, it's my job to help you with that.
