By the way: The wedding venue Schloss Laxenburg was completely renovated and modernized in 2020. From now on, celebrations will take place on freshly oiled floors in this historic building. All halls and rooms have been equipped with new technology in terms of speakers, Wi-Fi, and projectors. In addition to the event rooms, the kitchen area has also been modernized to make work easier for catering companies with modern equipment.

The cost of renting a room at Laxenburg Palace for a civil wedding ceremony starts at €950 for up to 3 hours in the fireplace room, which can accommodate up to 30 people (depending on the seating arrangement). The Oval Hall, which can accommodate up to 150 seated guests, is available from €2,200 (for up to 3 hours, minimum 30 guests).
The event residences offer combinations of individual rooms or the terrace/festive lawn, e.g., for a civil wedding ceremony in the Marschall Room, followed by a reception on the terrace and the Oval Hall for the grand banquet, with a rental price starting at €8,810 (price for the entire day) on Fridays/Saturdays. During off-peak times on a Thursday or Sunday, you can celebrate all day from €8,200.
The room rentals already include furniture provided by Laxenburg Castle. Of course, you are free to have your own furniture delivered. Appropriate signage in the entrance area and a separate bridal room, for example for the bride and bridesmaids to get dressed, are also included. Parking spaces for guests are available exclusively to the celebrating party.
The rental period for indoor spaces always refers to the period between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m., and for outdoor spaces to a maximum of 10:00 p.m. This information is non-binding; current prices for 2026 & 2027 can be found on the Residenzen Niederösterreich website.
Payment on account: A payment on account of 80% of the total amount is due no later than 30 days before the booked date.
Cancellation fees: From the signing of the contract until 180 days before the event, a cancellation fee of 25% of the total amount is payable; this percentage increases incrementally to 100% up to 72 hours before the celebration.
Fireworks at Laxenburg Palace
In 2020, traditional wedding fireworks were banned in Laxenburg Palace Park. However, this does not mean you have to forego impressive wedding fireworks; instead of rockets in the air, the show simply takes place a little closer to the ground. Andreas Szymonik, multiple winner of the Austrian Wedding Award for best show act in pyrotechnics and fire shows, is an expert in fiery matters.
